2023's Snow Angel was a pivotal moment for Rapp, and launching head first into the Mean Girls musical film soon after as the mean girl herself seems to have rubbed off on her - and traces of Regina George can be spotted all over her output. Well known for being an interviewers worst nightmare due to her inability to filter or hold anything back, Reneé Rapp now lacks the desire to give a fuck, and with that comes positive and negative in equal measure, but it's always a lot of fun. Where Snow Angel acted as an introduction to Rapp and dealt with introspection, self-reflection and identity, BITE ME is tired of being the problem.

Pop's current landscape is bursting with bold, genre-shifting voices carving out space with catchy hooks and unapologetic presence. This year alone, stages have hosted the likes of Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Olivia Rodrigo, and Billie Eilish -- each bringing their own brand of confessional pop and unfiltered emotion to a generation hungry for honesty and spectacle. Now, with her latest record ‘Bite Me’ , Reneé Rapp steps confidently into this spotlight, blending vulnerability with defiance in a pop statement steeped in Broadway-born confidence, emotional candour, and the biting wit that sets her apart in an already crowded field.
